The Grand Lodge of Spain consists of all Freemasons, Free and Accepted under its jurisdiction, Apprentices, Fellowcraft and Master Masons, in full rights to practice Masonic Art as Ancestral Ancient Usages and Customs.
The Grand Lodge of Spain was legally constituted by the Administrative Resolution of registration in the Register of Associations of the Ministry of Interior (registration number 37256) dated 16 October 1980, as an Obedience or Regular Masonic Order, as a non profit organization and indefinitely.
The jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Spain covers the whole territory of the Spanish State.
Masonic Regularity was given by Decrees 656 and 657 by the Grand National Lodge France who consecrated it on the 6th of November 1982. It has its principal place of business in the city of Barcelona, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanas nº617, and may constitute delegations and offices in other parts of the Spanish state.
The Grand Lodge of Spain represents and governs the general interests of all Lodges under its obedience. It is responsible of the legislative function, and is the supreme authority of Regular Freemasonry in the Spanish territory within its jurisdiction, being the only one who can approve, modify the Laws of the Order.
The Grand Lodge of Spain also has the power to investigate, regulate and decide on all matters relating to the organization in general, and in particular Lodges, and Masonically its members.
The Grand Lodge of Spain retains the sole authority to radiate a Brother or remove a Lodge Charter when neccesary.
These powers of the Grand Lodge of Spain are exerted through its Management Bodies and Government.
The language for all ceremonies and activities of the Grand Lodge of Spain is Spanish.
The Spanish flag next to the flag or Masonic banner, will preside over the work of Grand Lodge.
The Spanish national anthem will be used in all ceremonies of Grand Lodge and Masonic or Masonic hymns or other related musical compositions.
The Grand Lodge of Spain consists of Lodges, are structured by Provincial Grand Lodges and Management Bodies and Government.
